Take the village lanes at walking pace. Spend time around the castle and pause over the valley view. Leave space for details you would miss on a quick stop.
Forty-eight hours. A different pace.
A suggested self-guided weekend around Boljun, Vela draga and Lupoglav.
This is an invitation, not a timetable. Keep the two days flexible, book your accommodation and meals directly, and move the outdoor portion to the better-weather day.
Day one
Start in Boljun.
Leave room at the table.
Ask your host for a local lunch recommendation, confirm opening hours and reserve ahead. Afterwards, keep the afternoon close: another village, a public viewpoint, or simply the countryside around your stay.
Day two
Make space for Vela draga.
Check park information before visiting the geological trail. Choose only the sections suitable for your party. A viewpoint stop and a descent into the canyon are different undertakings.
Go gently, or go further.
Finish with a village stop around Vranja or return to Boljun. Experienced walkers may instead dedicate the day to the Aurania circuit. Do not squeeze a four-hour route into the end of an already full afternoon.
